New to the Ibanez SR800 series is the SR805 Debut 5 String Bass Guitar in an extraordinary Aged Whiskey Burst Flat finish. Bringing together high quality specs and components, the SR805 is ultimately comfortable to play and produces an almighty range of tones with gusto. Ibanez have employed an exotic choice of tonewood combined with excellent onboard electronics to enhance your sound.

EXOTIC TONEWOOD

The guitars that have been brought out in the new range of SR800s such as the SR805 have been given a low gloss, exotic wood body that looks incredibly eye-catching, especially with the finish. The top is constructed using Poplar Burl, known for its lightweight feel and unusual grain patterns. This is paired with a mahogany body which largely adds a rich warmth to the tone of the SR805 bass guitar.

SR5 NECK

A stunning SR5 5-piece Jatoba / Bubinga neck is firmly fitted to the bass body via an extended neck joint which offers exceptional playability and easier reach to the upper frets. With a scale length of 34 inches and a thin profile, a faster playing feel is promoted. Aboard the 5-piece neck is a rosewood fingerboard with 24 medium frets to enjoy. The frets are decorated with Abalone oval dot inlays to guide you from one to the next with confidence.

BARTOLINI MK-1 PICKUPS

The SR805 is fitted with Bartolini MK-1 pickups at the neck and bridge positions. Ibanez have employed this set of pickups as they offer fantastic sound definition across a wide range of diverse tones. The MK-1 pickups also completely reduce any unwanted noise in the background, giving you an incredibly clear output.

Onboard controls feature on the SR805 including Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band EQ and a 3-way mid-frequency switch. They also include independent Bass Boost / Cut, Middle Boost / Cut and Treble Boost / Cut control dials that all work together alongside the MK-1 pickups to deliver the most dynamic tone.

HARDWARE AND FINISH

Ibanez have fitted an Accu-cast B305 bridge to the SR805 Debut bass guitar as it is a solid construction yet is also easy to adjust should you wish. The bridge forms a strong connection between the strings and the body to provide great sustain and intonation, while simultaneously maintaining a 16.5mm spacing between each string.

Gold hardware such as the tuning machine heads at the headstock and the bridge give a contrast in appearance, while the machine heads perform wonderfully to uphold tuning integrity.
