Description
The Martin D-28 Street Legend acoustic guitar brings attitude and authenticity to your playing. This dreadnought acoustic guitar features a spruce top with subtle visual wear inspired by historic models in Martin's renowned museum, giving it a well-loved look and vintage vibe. The D-28 Street Legend is crafted with resonant East Indian rosewood back and sides and scalloped X-bracing for a full, dynamic tone. Its mahogany neck has a Modified Low Oval profile for comfort, while an ebony fingerboard and bridge provide a smooth playing surface. Finished in satin and equipped with nickel open-gear tuners, the D-28 Street Legend looks and sounds like it's been out on the road for years.
Spruce Top With Custom Aging Process
The D-28 Street Legend's solid spruce top has been carefully aged using a custom process inspired by Martin's vintage models, giving your brand-new acoustic an authentically worn-in appearance. This not only creates a unique look but also helps produce a rich, complex tone that improves over time. The aged spruce top works in tandem with the guitar's scalloped X-bracing to generate a bold, balanced sound with articulate highs, warm mids and tight low end.
Resonant Rosewood Body
East Indian rosewood is prized for use in acoustic guitars due to its acoustic properties and beautiful grain. The D-28 Street Legend's rosewood back and sides help produce a resonant, full-bodied tone with rich overtones and a clear, ringing sustain. Rosewood's dense grain also provides structural stability for consistent tone and playability over the lifetime of the instrument.
Playability and Appointments
Designed for comfort and ease of use, the D-28 Street Legend features a Modified Low Oval neck profile, 25.4" scale length and 1.75" nut width.
